Rodolfo Dordoni has designed a Brice coffee table for Italian company, Minotti. A service element with an unconventional design and showing a combination of different materials that creates a strong character. The top of table with its rounded edges equipped with a mud glossy lacquered finish, while the slender chrome plated metal structure rests on tobacco oak ground skids. Frame of coffee table from metal, circular section rods with glossy chrome finish. Top table in MDF mm 20 thick shaped, and table legs are made from tobacco stained solid oak. [Via]
Gilliam is an ancient armchair that back to the Nordic design of the 50’s and 60’s. This armchair has designed by Rodolfo Dordoni for Minotti. The Gilliam armchair brings us to mind of the design originating at that time, but still popular today. The best expression of design is comfort and technology, packed in an object that conveys understatement but that emits a strong identity. Two cold foamed shells for the back rest and seating, padding that softens the back rest and a down cushion creates the armchair more comfortable, a construction approach with aesthetics function. The back rest and seat are joined and are supported by a curved wood base that traces a sinuous line, highlighted by changing thicknesses and an elegant semi glossy lacquered moka finish. [Via]
Designer Rodolfo Dordoni has created Prince armchair for the Italian company, Minotti. Prince is an armchair showing the latest technology and the most innovative materials in forms that are reminiscent of the classic design tradition of the 50’s. The construction complexity of the base creates an intriguing juxtaposition with the harmonious form. The Prince armchair offers a variety of finishing with different underlying stylistic interpretations. Added to the brushed glossy aluminum, are the versions in semi-glossy black, extra-glossy sand and pewter which play down the sleekness of the aluminum and create Prince a very versatile armchair that blends in with any setting. Frame in metal with elastic straps, also a high rubber content, cushion from goose down with high density polyurethane insert. The cover in fabric covers which can be taken by loosening the screws under the base. Base in die cast aluminum mold (exclusive design by Minotti Studio). The base finishes are:
