German Design Council displays the series of exhibitions product, at Design Deutschland 2011 and one of which is Trapezium lamp. Trapezium is a light object for interior use, designed by Robert Hoffmann. Construction and light of the luminaire effect created with simple design. It consists of two identically folded trapezoidal sheet metals, reminding of a hexagon in the outline. A soft, wide light cone evolves at the top and bottom side. Different from that, the light pushes through the lateral gaps between the metal sheet halves and shows as thin streaks on the surrounding walls. The light emphasizes the geometric form of Trapezium. A thin bar connects the sheet halves and also serves as carrier for the suspension and the illuminant. [Via]
