Shadow lamp has combination of oak wood, glass and textile cables like Muffins. You can select from many colors of glass, as well as cables and colors of wood finishes. Under the Bell is not just a lampshade, but content a light source to house and reflect it downward. When hung over a table or in an open environment, make your own space in a larger space. The lamp are embracing and sheltering a table and people below it both physically and in a more abstract sense. The lampshade is molded from two tone recycled polyester. Hangzhou Studio Design Innovo achieves as winner at red dot award for design concept. Xuan lamp presenting bamboo in an unusual way, the bamboo altered into smooth slices. The bamboo is transformed by an artisan (using a traditional handcrafting technique), where thick bamboo changed become delicate strands. The delicate curves of bamboo in the lamp is fluttering and dancing, especially by a breeze through an open window. The result is a captivatingly delicate shape that interacts with the breeze and casts dreamy shadows. The lamp combines a low-temperature LED, which minimizes its energy consumption. The bamboo holds its natural color and does not appeal mildew. [Via]

Bau is a sculptural pendant lamp designed by Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt who has combined color, composition and geometric forms in a unique and creative design. The Bau pendant lamp are built of circular pieces of plywood and manufactured by Normann Copenhagen. The design is based on interlocking geometric circles, sticking out in all direction. Bau has a direct pattern that is broken up by the discs colors, sizes, and center linkages, thus creating the lamp organic and alive in its expression. [Via]

German Design Council displays the series of exhibitions product, at Design Deutschland 2011 and one of which is Trapezium lamp. Trapezium is a light object for interior use, designed by Robert Hoffmann. Construction and light of the luminaire effect created with simple design. It consists of two identically folded trapezoidal sheet metals, reminding of a hexagon in the outline. A soft, wide light cone evolves at the top and bottom side. Different from that, the light pushes through the lateral gaps between the metal sheet halves and shows as thin streaks on the surrounding walls. The light emphasizes the geometric form of Trapezium. A thin bar connects the sheet halves and also serves as carrier for the suspension and the illuminant. [Via]

The traditional glass lanterns created on the island of Murano are the inspiration for Dame, a collection of lamps that designed to illuminate large environments. The Dame lamp has created by Luca Nichetto for Established & Sons. Dame’s aesthetic recall Tiffany lampshades and the stained glass rose windows found in churches. Dame’s unique appearance is the result of the effect caused when its illumination is diffused and decorated inner thermoformed shade. The innovative layering of materials is taken from automotive manufacturing and has never been used in the production of light fixtures before.
