Cast Glass Wall and Glass Rock Garden by SWON
SWON is an innovation and art group that makes glass sculpture and lighting installations that blur the line between art and innovation. The first and second images are cast glass wall is located in a beautiful garden setting on the shores of Lake Ontario in Toronto. Measuring 7 feet tall by 10 feet long. Cast glass wall consists of 77 glass blocks pouring ladle in various tones of aqua blue / green with a simulation of water flowing texture. Combine features of cast glass wall that allows water to spill over the glass is controlled.
The pictures below is the Glass Rock Garden, 14 feet by 4 foot stainless steel pool built containing three glass stones carved half-inch glass plates. Glass stone is secured in a metal frame and covered with black river stones and amber-sized glass frit, fiber optic line is placed below the amber glass to make a warm light to see at night. SWON designed, manufactured and installed the pond, stone glass and lights for this project.
