Japanese Design Studio Nendo has designed interior of Puma House Tokyo. The house is located in the city’s Aoyama design district. Puma House Tokyo is a versatile space that can be used for exhibitions, events, fittings, product launches and other media events. Puma House Tokyo unites the brand’s press room and event space into one space for the first time.
According to Nendo, we put staircases that climb around the existing features around the space like vines. These staircases are not used to climb, but for display stands Puma’s sneakers and as a compositional element that provides the space a special character. The resulting effect is a powerful reminder that we train our bodies every day up and down stairs, and have a visual relationship with the stadium stairs and podium as well, to bring an important relationship with the Puma sports. The stairs take a sense of movement to the interior, allowing the display of products that fully three-dimensional use of space and enable visitors to experience the world view of Puma.
