Dutch designer Bertjan Pot has created the Ritz sofa for furniture manufacturer Geiderland. Generally sofas are made of voluminous foam blocks, but the Ritz was different. The foam is downsized for reduce its utilization because the keeps rising oil price (foam is made from oil). Although skinny looks, The Ritz sofa comfortable in all sides. Stretched elastic bands covered with a thin layer of foam ensure a soft seat. Upholstering was made simple by using a zipper all around. The high sofa legs create it easy to sit down and get up.
