Gisela Stromeyer Design and David Apfel have finishing their project Elie Tahari fashion showroom in New York. Visitors to Elie Tahari are guided through a series of conventionally offices before they reach the showroom, which like entering another world. The flowing textiles produce a feeling of elegance and sensuality. Large semi oval openings are cut into the material to make the wardrobes along the wall. The stretch textiles material is known as spandex. It is the material that is used for create the swimwear and thus easy to cleaned. The differentiated lighting in the sales spaces designed by David Apfel using conventional low voltage halogen spots creates for a pleasant, almost intimate atmosphere for customers and sales representative. Based on with the overall design concept to apply white textile elements to create the space, Gisela Stromeyer and David Apfel used no colored light but utilizing white light to underscore the magical atmosphere.
