Giulio Iacchetti has designed a unique armchair, a Stripe -Tease, for Meritalia. This armchair is art creation combines design world with pure imagination, freedom, color, and irrationality. The Stripe-Tease armchair is the protagonist of a double interpretation; in one hand it dressed with a colorful shape, created of ribbons, spread with disorder, supple and matted overall the floor. On the other hand an elegant weaving black and white stretches to the walls and the ceiling in a perfect harmony. It projects the outline of the armchairs in all lines. Patricia Urquiola has designed Husk armchair for B&B Italia. The basic elements of this chair are the hard shell of Hirek ® and a series of soft pillows. The Husk armchair is the result of a long development process to make a versatile armchair that is unique in itself. Three typologies of cushion are available: standard, large and very large or with a headrest, an ottoman footrest is also available. Playing on the wide range of colors and finishes of the shell (in four-toned recycled plastic material), the swivel base-frame with four spokes (in black painted, brushed light oak or grey oak finish) and covers (numerous types of leather or fabric), Husk can radically alter its appearance, from a single color to an extremely bright or subtly elegant style. With this project, B&B Italia fulfill the theme of ecology by using recyclable materials, and components that can be fully dismantled in the future, therefore simplifying the process of recycling and reduced environmental impact. Cristiana Giopato and Christopher Coombes have made Babylon sofa and armchair, for Varaschin. Babylon is a collection of upholstered furniture which includes a sofa and an armchair both with a grey varnished aluminum structure with a hand woven big rope making the backrest, the armrests and the seating. The back sofa and chair are formed by a line slightly bent, reminds the silhouette of the seagull wings.
