Designer Vincent Van Duysen has created Oskar chair for Poliform. The form of this armchair represents a piece of furniture of soft elegance. The high backrest provides a spacious sense of comfort and a strong expressive of design. The structure of Oskar armchair is made in painted sheet with 32 colors and seat in molded flexible polyurethane. Pre-covering is made in polyester padding and final covering removable in fabric and non removable in leather. Optional headrest covered in non-removable hide. [Via]

Designer Rodolfo Dordoni has created Prince armchair for the Italian company, Minotti. Prince is an armchair showing the latest technology and the most innovative materials in forms that are reminiscent of the classic design tradition of the 50’s. The construction complexity of the base creates an intriguing juxtaposition with the harmonious form. The Prince armchair offers a variety of finishing with different underlying stylistic interpretations. Added to the brushed glossy aluminum, are the versions in semi-glossy black, extra-glossy sand and pewter which play down the sleekness of the aluminum and create Prince a very versatile armchair that blends in with any setting. Frame in metal with elastic straps, also a high rubber content, cushion from goose down with high density polyurethane insert. The cover in fabric covers which can be taken by loosening the screws under the base. Base in die cast aluminum mold (exclusive design by Minotti Studio). The base finishes are:

- extra glossy anti touch in sand or pewter
- semi glossy anti touch in black
- brushed with bright finish and then coated with a transparent finish [Via]

Isola armchair has been featured at International Furniture Fair 2012 in Milan. Claesson Koivisto Rune has designed Isola for Italian furniture company, Tacchini. Isola is a new typology of armchair and it a furniture design for this day, where we are always connected to the internet via laptops, tablets, and other portable devices. When using these devices in many public or semi-private situations, the designer realized that seating postures change. People tend to relax or find unconventional positions sitting in a more relaxed fashion. As a response to this, the designer makes a wide and spacious chair shell with a soft organic form, lacking a clear direction. [Via]

Designer Matthew Hilton has created Lucas armchair and sofa for SCP. The Lucas armchair and sofa expertly embed a traditional design typology with modern aesthetics. The design combines clean lines with smooth barriers curves to make a piece of furniture that is comfortable and completely proportioned. Ingenious details such as the taper and flare of the turned oak legs and the slight protrusion of the seat cushion give serenity. The armchair is handmade in our Norfolk factory with an FSC approved beech frame, jute webbing and hessian straps.

The sofa is made with an FSC approved beech frame, jute webbing and hessian strap. The armchair and sofa are covered with a mixture of ingredients that include natural fibers, animal hair and wool. Both are made in the England. [Via]

Sebastian Herknerwill launch the Coat armchair with Italian brand, Moroso at Salone del Mobile in Milan 2012. The Coat armchair is the results of the first collaboration with Moroso. The Coat is an armchair without feet, a fusion of decoration and function. This chair is made using the same technique for printing the hosiery, non slip faded decoration has been printed on the fabric which guarantees perfect stability on the floor, yet at the same time with a low weight for easy moving.
