About Sandra Hisbèque

Sandra Hisbèque is Interior architect and furniture designer.
After her Master’s programme in Paris and Geneva she receives a first prize and a special prize from a panel of judges for her work.
She lives in Geneva and has created a range of furniture that may be characterised in a few words :
Transparency, elegance and fluidity.

Her work is based on peoples’ interaction with their environment, the perception of space and sensory experimentation.
Because everything is only evolution and movement.

Module.MGX is a modular table system that was inspired by a previous collaboration between WertelOberfell with Matthias Bär and their creation: Fractal.MGX that takes its design cues from tree roots. With further study into patterns of tree growth and fractal other patterns and systems that occur in nature, Module.MGX focuses on increasing ties between our environment and our modern life. With the steep sloping walls and hollow structure, Module.MGX minimizes waste and save energy during the production process. And because of the size and shape, the table can be used alone or with an infinite number of smooth placed side by side, adjust with the changing needs of our lives today.

The combination of elegant natural wood with white-painted surface is one of the great ideas to make stylish and modern furniture. Hülsta furniture stands for quality made in Germany. New coffee table from Hülsta designed as like that. The CT 130 coffee table, available in 70 x 70 cm and 120 x 70 cm, supported by a cross-shaped frame, which usually is provided in white lacquer, the same as the lower table top. The upper table top is available in different finishes whereas the middle, circumferential fillet is only available in structured beech or walnut. [Via]

Pool Coffee Tables by Freshwest Design

The UK-based design firm Freshwest showed this table at Tent London, the international creative design event. Designers Freshwest successfully combine narrative and humour in their conceptual design “Pool Table“.It’s actually a coffee table made with 50mm acrylic that reflects light so that it looks like a shimmering swimming pool. A swimming pool in the air, like someone digging the ground out from under it. Miniature diving board on one end is a nice touch.[VIA]
