Designer Luca Nichetto has designed Bistrot for Casamania. Bistrot is a set of coffee tables, as its name, it taken from small bistro and brasserie tables that found along Parisian cafes. The major concept behind the typology of Bistrot is to pair a small base, which leaves room for people to move around it, with a tabletop large enough to contain more than just drinks. The Bistrot is created with a conical in base, as a response for the need of a center of gravity that capable of supporting the table’s rather large surface. It can be created in various materials, ranging from wood to laminates till stone. [Via]
Chariot is a serving trolley, designed by GamFratesi and presented by Casamania, during the Salone del Mobile 2012. Chariot is a side table made up of three simple elements: wheels, trays and structure. The wheels, which in general carts are usually small, are brought to the extreme size, becoming the iconic element of the project. The rubber profile is inserted into the wheels for easy movement; the two trays act as storage compartments. The structure is made of painted metal, trays and wheels in lacquered MDF or solid oak natural. [Via]
