The Shanghai lounge chair is designed exclusively by Thomas Wüthrich and Yves Raschle to INCHfurniture in the provision of the Swiss pavilion at Expo 2010. INCHfurniture brings together leading to sustainable timber management. Inspired by the architectural vision of the pavilion, INCHfurniture conceived the Shanghai collection for the furnishing of the restaurant and the VIP-lounge, in collaboration with the architects Buchner Bründler. In the pavilion’s VIP-lounge, there is a combination of Shanghai lounge chair in groups of three, along with a side table. The ensemble made of teak and leather, standing out from the darkness of the concrete floor smoothened in rich contrast and make an atmosphere of sophisticated and classy. [Via]
