Pitaya was founded by two French designers, who met while studying art and design. Pitaya has designed dichroic armchair named Random8. Nelly Rodi agency has chosen “Random8″ seat selection to be part of a trend in the Maison & Objet design show in Paris this January 2011. Random8 is an indoor or outdoor chair made up of 8 facets of dichroic plexiglas. With the dichroic treatment of the plastic, the chair makes its own lighting effects. It glows in every color of the rainbow and changes its color depending on the ambient light and on the viewing position. It also reflects colorful shapes on the environment. [Via]
