Kenyon Yeh is traveling to Indonesia and working on his new project Nuo rattan pendant lamp. Together with local traditional artisans, he learned the process of creating rattan woven techniques. Nuo pendant consist of two materials, created from rattan strips base and stem of banana trees that are environmentally friendly material and can be parsed again. This material is processed with a particular method so produce very beautiful, flexible, and powerful material. Following through a careful process of finishing, it will formed products of high artistic value. The result, Nuo has a unique beauty and simplicity in the pendant shape, reflecting the traditional skills and the unique appeal of material fashioned by human hands. [Via]
