British designer, Splinters Works has finishing kitchen interior, The Lucy’s Kitchen. The clients want a simple kitchen design that would function everyday and as a focal point for large family gathering. One notable challenge was how to deal with a pillar that located in the center of the room. The designer used a mirror polished tube to cover and then mimicked this to form the extractor, turning it into a function and rather beautiful functional centerpiece. [Via]
