About Sandra Hisbèque

Sandra Hisbèque is Interior architect and furniture designer.
After her Master’s programme in Paris and Geneva she receives a first prize and a special prize from a panel of judges for her work.
She lives in Geneva and has created a range of furniture that may be characterised in a few words :
Transparency, elegance and fluidity.

Her work is based on peoples’ interaction with their environment, the perception of space and sensory experimentation.
Because everything is only evolution and movement.
Mirror effects and rhythms.

Prima is one of the collection modern bathrooms from Bluform, as a result of valuable collaboration with Pininfarina Design Studio. Bluform produce an innovative design concept of a bath. British design company Tom Dixon presents the Fin light in a series of illuminated environments, at The Most Design Festival during Milan Design Week 2012. Fin light is an ode to engineering and an introduction to new and rapidly changing lighting technologies. Proudly exposing its inner workings, Fin takes invisibles electrical component and creates them integral to the design, the result is independent display both color and light in one. A heat sink is an extruded aluminum component used to cool electrical equipment, shapes the body and structure of the light. Designed to provide intense brightness, 6 high-powered LED’s are enlarged through a giant acrylic lens to provide an expanded beam of light. [Via]

Danish designer Busk+Hertzog has created the Closer chair for Globe Z ero 4. Globe Zero 4 is a design, development and manufacturing company, and has display this chair at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2012. The Closer is a stackable upholstered bar stool with endless possibility in a sophisticated and modern expression. The chair is made with high quality foam molded plywood, and frame in chromed steel. Must table is a lounge table, designed by Busk+Hertzog that can be used throughout the length of the sofa but still with a light and elegant floating appearance. Softline is a leading design company launched a Tribeca coffee table, at The Internasional Furnishing Show 2012 in Cologne, Germany. Tribeca is a coffee table with a funky design, created by Busk+Hertzog.  The design with the conventional perception to legs that supporting a coffee table. The under frame is based on a simple construction principle which uses angles and repetition to obtain a surprisingly, asymmetrical and smooth. [Via]

Luisa Albino, a student of Industrial Design at de National University of Mendoza, in Argentina has the project of furniture redesign. The project is about a re-design of the Estereo’s sofa.

At the moment Luisa Albino is doing an internship in Barcelona for an office furniture manufacturer.

Description from the designer about this furniture redesign:

This project is about a re-design of the Estereo’s sofa, seat that used to be produced by AG Land in the 70′s. AG Land (www.agland14.com) is an office furniture manufacturer based on Barcelona where I´m currently doing an internship.

The idea of the re-design was to give it a modern look but keeping its main concept and structure, so I decided to work on materials, finishes and forms!

It has wooden structure, which could be lacquered, and leather cushions.

Rio is a modern lounge chair with a dynamic and cheeky design. This chair has designed by Busk+Hertzog for Softline. Its flexible shape is equally interesting from the side part and from behind, making it ideal for placed as centrally in the room or as part of a set. [Via]
