Israel designer Gil Sheffi has created Elastic Wood Chair for Bakery Design. The project is inspired by the general process of over molding, that two materials are used to complement and increase the characteristics of each ingredient. The wood is used for compatibility for home furnishings that receive to touch and send fresh aesthetics. The elastic material is used for transforming the 2d spread into a 3d space. The combination of the two materials enhances the aspect of flexibility into the rigid furniture produced in wood. [Via]
