Christopher Polly Architect is an emerging architecture based in Sydney. He has finished the Casa Haines House in Newtown Sydney. The proposal involved the addition of an open volume beyond the original rear roof plane to improve the physical and visual relationship to the new rear garden. The structure of the house enables a natural ventilation system, give the fresh air, fresh thoughts and relaxation. A narrow corridor connects the old part of the house to the newly added kitchen and also acted as a part of the front of the house a little lift to the lower back. Having a slightly sloping roof ensures natural light for the dining room, living room and kitchen with the help of strategically placed windows. [Via]
